秋本工芸社は、2025年にスタートしました。
現在は、神奈川県の藤野――都市と里山の境界に位置する場所を拠点に活動しています。
建築 / 空間 / 家具 / 道具の制作を通して、本質的な価値をみつけることを目指しています。
ものづくりにおいて大切にしているのは、ひとつの価値観や手法にとらわれないこと。
見方を変えて観察することで、常に新たな発見やインスピレーションが生まれます。
工業と手仕事、自然物と人工物、機能と装飾、新しさと古さ、強さと脆さ。
相反する要素を等しく見つめ、その交わる点に立ち現れる美しさを探求しています。
Akimoto Kogei Studio was founded in 2025.
We are based in Fujino, Kanagawa — a place that lies between the city and the satoyama, where urban life meets rural landscape.
Through creating architecture, spaces, furniture, and tools,
we seek to discover what holds essential value.
In our making, we value the freedom to move beyond a single method or perspective.
By shifting our viewpoint and observing carefully,
new discoveries and inspirations continuously emerge.
Industrial and handcrafted, natural and artificial, functional and decorative, new and old, strong and fragile —
we regard these contrasting elements as equals,
and explore the beauty that appears at the points where they intersect.
Profile
秋本 将之
ヨーロッパ古着の買付・販売を行う会社に勤務したのち、文化服装学園に入学し、ファッションデザインを学ぶ。
卒業後は、前職での経験を生かし、古物やアンティーク家具の買付・販売を開始。
東京都内のギャラリーのスペースデザインを手がけたことをきっかけに、家業である建具・家具製作を得意とする工務店での勤務を始め、兼業で活動を続ける。
その後、数年間にわたり工務店に従事し、建築設計事務所が設計した空間の施工や、自身による空間・家具設計を通じて経験を重ねる。
神奈川県藤野への移住を機に独立し、秋本工芸社として活動を始める。
Masashi Akimoto
After working for a company engaged in buying and selling European vintage clothing, he entered Bunka Fashion College to study fashion design.
Upon graduation, he began dealing in antiques and vintage furniture, drawing on his previous experience.
A project designing the interior space of a gallery in Tokyo led him to begin working concurrently at a construction company specializing in joinery and furniture making, which was also his family’s trade.
Over the following years, he gained hands-on experience in construction and design, executing projects designed by architectural firms as well as creating his own interior and furniture designs.
After relocating to Fujino, Kanagawa, he established his independent practice under the name AKIMOTO KOGEI STUDIO.
